Tuesday #19

January 11, 2011 – Week 18

This was a hard week for me for some reason I started to feel guilty for leaving you so long at daycare and then to come home and cook dinner and do other odds and ends. I realized that I needed to change my routine so that you come first. I don’t want to miss out on a minute of your life and you are changing so quickly. What was your fun trick last week is now so “so not cool anymore” for instance you were sucking on your left hand index finger for the longest time and this week you have become a thumb sucker (too cute by the way) it is small things like that and I promise you no matter what comes up, I will remember that the dishes can wait, the email can be checked later but you must come first. I am happy to report that I can include a new aspect to my mommy resume and that would be one of a stand up comic. For some reason you find me so funny whether it be me sneezing, eating an apple or just talking with you. Your laugh can fill up a room and always brings a smile if not a full on laugh from me as well.

January 4, 2011 – Week 17 Happy 4 month Birthday!

This week seems to have to flown by so quickly I don’t even know were to start. I feel like you are changing and growing fasted than I can keep up with you. If I had to choose just two things to write about this week I think they would be: One, you had a growth spurt. Over night you went from being a skinny bean to being a chunky baby, sausage fingers and all. Even your teacher made a comment today how over the long weekend you beefed up. Then my second favorite memory this week is something very simple but is probably in my top ten favorite moments so far. On Sunday we were both exhausted after the busy couple of weeks we had. After you ate, you just curled up next me on the couch and feel asleep with me. I was not holding you like I normally do; you were just lying next to me on the couch. I don’t think words could ever describe, the peacefulness that we were both experiencing.
