Today we celebrate our independence with parades, BBQ and family and fireworks.

Fathers Day

Father's Day is the day we get to say Thank you to the men in our life who are our role models, kiss up when we scrape our knees and give us the words of confident when we are down.

Happy to Be  a  Mother

Before I was a Mother I thought I knew what love was but I was so wrong. 

The love that I feel for my child is so deep and true. When Aj is in pain, I feel the pain with him. When  he is happy I feel the joy with him.  Being a mother has been  an experience and a journey. I wake up every morning not knowing where the day will take me. The one thing that I know is that Aj will show me something new and wonderful. All is the days work of being a Mother.

Mom and Dad's Birthday

We all came together to celebrate this very special weekend, it was Mom's belated birthday and Dad's Birthday weekend. This was the first time that we ever hosted a who entire party in the front drive way of the lake house. It was perfect! The kids had plenty of room to play and we had shade and comfortable chairs to lounge in. 

With All the celebration we never got a photo of Mom and Dad with the kids.

Dear Aj,

Every week we starts off the same: you get up, have breakfast and go to school. The days off the week seem to end the same too: I pick you up, you have dinner we play and then you got to bed. This how your week goes, every week since you were about 3 months all. Are weeks might be the same, week in and week out. But our weekends are ours to do what ever we like to!

This weekend we went and saw the Easter Bunny. I was not quite sure how you would react, so I was really surprised when you smiled and waived. I thought to myself that this might be good, that you actually sit on the Easter Bunny's lap and smile for the camera. Nope you had a plan of your own. You were happy to smile and waive, but there was no way you were going near that Bunny. You and Daddy went up together to meet the Bunny and take pictures. That worked for you.

Easter Sunday

This Easter was a small one for our family. It seemed as if everyone had something going on that made it difficult to celebrate together. With Mom and Dad moving we did not even know were we where going to host Easter until the day before. I am so happy that we decided to have Easter at the Lake House.

Aj felt like King of the house, being that he was the only Grandchild there. All eyes were on him from the moment we arrived and why not he with the clown of the party. He loved showing off his dare devil moves in his car, or new favorite songs and even his cute new tricks.

I have to say I was quite impressed with Aj's egg collecting skills. He only needed to be told once to put the eggs in the basket, and then he was off running around and putting all the eggs into his basket as fast as he could. When he was all done he was so excited when he done that he started to shake his basket so that all the eggs came flying out which then made him happy cause he was able to start
collecting his eggs again.
